The Shelby Drama Ministry is both a very rewarding, and a challenging ministry.  Rewarding because it is such a wonderful, blessed experience to be able to portray God’s Word, His love and/or scripture in a way the perhaps some have never thought about it before.  It is challenging because practices usually go along with “getting it right”.

If you have a relatively good memory, don’t mind being in front of people, and want to try your hand at acting, this is the ministry for you.  We will help those who have no experience, and welcome those who do.

To see the written word become “real”, to hear people say they’ve never thought of a scripture or bible story that way, to see tears when they are supposed to cry and laughter when they are supposed to laugh, to visually develop a sermon series for the Pastor’s messages, or be involved with drama that goes along with a holiday musical – what a perfect gift to be able to be part of this ministry!
