SBC strives to offer practical help for those who need assistance.  We have men and women who can counsel, guiding people through crisis to find freedom through Jesus Christ and the principles of His Word.

We also offering mentoring for ladies who want to find freedom from the baggage in their lives that has weighed them down, to help them become like the woman in the Scripture who was desperate enough to do anything to touch Jesus - even just the hem of His garment made her whole.

SBC has many programs geared for the children of our church, ages 2 through 5th grade.  At 10:00 am every Sunday morning, they start with graded classes in our Sunday School, where the Bible is taught in practical ways for their age group.  Depending on their age, they may have coloring projects, games, activities and crafts to help reinforce the lesson for the day.

At 6:00 pm Sunday evening, 3s and 4s have a class while 5 through 6th grade are welcome to learn music and prepare special numbers for our services with our Jr. Choir.

At 6:45 on Wednesday evening, Our Master Clubs program for 2s through 5th grade, offers graded classes for Bible lessons and learning verses, a games and activity time, a craft time, seasonal events like "Everybody's Birthday Party" and other fun events.  They earn badges and awards, and once a year compete in the Regional Competition in Pontiac.

Each one of our children's classrooms, including the nursery for children under 2, is held to strict standards of conduct for its leaders, so you can be content that your children are being well taken care of by qualified adults.   Each classroom has at least two adult leaders to provide for the needs of the children.

The Student Ministry at Shelby Bible Church is called 7:22.  The name comes from 2 Samuel 7:22, Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.  This is the main focus of the 7:22 student ministries - for each junior high and high school student to see God as great and for Him to be the greatest thing in their lives.

7:22 offers a place where students can learn and grow through the practical teaching of God's Word, be encouraged through leaders who care about them, interact with other students their age and serve others through service opportunities.

Since Pastor announced his 10 Year Plan, a great deal has been happening at SBC.  Many people have decided to offer their talents to be used in many different areas.  The new website was launched that Sunday, and many of you have already registered.  Thank you for being part of the first group to get to the Member Resources area!  But we are still waiting for many more to register before we launch much more additional information.

In the future, we will be using the website to allow you to connect with others in your area of ministry, whether it be the Nursery or the Sound Booth.  No matter where you are serving, if you are registered on our website, you will be able to connect with other church members who serve with you.  And there are still many openings in ministry areas, so volunteers are welcome!  Find your place to serve and get connected today by calling 586.566.3825 or sending an email to Pastor Casey at revcasey@shelbybc.org.

The next targeted areas for development are the Teen Ministry and the Sound Booth Ministry.  We look forward to having a safe place for our teens to connect with their sponsors and others in the church who would love to help them in their journey.  We have added devotionals, but  blogs, photos and videos are coming -  our teens who want to participate should send their ideas through the Member Resources area.   The Sound Booth Ministry will be connecting for new information documenting the many different things they do.  Training Resources are already available through the Moodle section.  We appreciate their work so much and want to do everything we can to help them perfect their work!  If you have questions or ideas you want to submit, feel free to send them to scasey@shelbybc.org

This ministry's focus is to assist in the teaching and ministering of God's Word in the hearts and lives of people of all ages.  The Bible is a Living Book, for in its pages is the very Word of the Living God, whose Holy Spirit brings it to life for every believer.  We encourage you to take advantage of the opportunites listed here to learn more.
