The Pretenders PDF Print E-mail
I began a short series of messages on Sunday night called, "The Pretenders" out of Matthew 23 and God has really been hitting me over the head with this passage.  As a follow up to Sunday night, I just wanted to challenge each of us about being real.  The more I study the sermons and teachings of Jesus in the Bible, the more I realize He was teaching us to be real.  The more I look deeply into Christianity, the more I realize that at the core of Christianity is about allowing Jesus to make us real.  I find that the more I try to change myself or the more I try to make myself real, I actually become a pretender.  Only Jesus can make us real!  My desire is to give myself over to Jesus and let Him do what He wants and what only He can do.  Jesus, please change me from pretender to authentic!
