Getting to Know Chaplain Hunter PDF Print E-mail

Here are the latest questions we asked our ministers, and here is what Chaplain John Hunter had to say:

What advice would you give a twenty-year old?

I think the Bible puts it the best in Proverbs 3:5-6  Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Who would you dream about inviting to your fantasy dinner?

Jesus. Even though I have many more in mind but I do not think that I would have enough time to talk to my Savior if I invited any others.

What's on your bookshelf?

Bibles from the early 1800’s to the present including Bibles issued to soldiers during WWI, WWII, and the Persian Gulf War. It is a reminder that the Word of God is  the most powerful and life changing document that has ever existed.

What are the things that people don’t know you enjoy doing?

Spending every minute with my family, going to antique stores shopping for Bibles, and watching military aircraft in the wild blue yonder.

If you could ask God one question, what would it be?

What was it like to see your only Son die on the cross?
